The construction of this shelf system is of mortise and tusk tenon joinery that was developed ages ago allowing for sturdy and simple assembly. No hardware or tools are required and instructions are included in the box. It's as simple as placing the shelves into the sides then pushing the tusk tenons into the slots on the ends of the shelves.
